Sling-shots

Postby deadon » Tue Nov 29, 2011 6:31 am

Some old timer was telling me he used to hunt small game up to rabbits with a sling-shot. He was a pretty straight shooter, did not talk much, so I dont think he was pulling my leg. He said back in the day, when he could not afford ammo, they took to sling shots.

Anyone ever hunted with a sling shot?

dad used one when he would go deer hunting to entertain himself shooting at tree rats... even hit a few. which was good cause he never killed a deer. lol

When I was a kid my cousin and his friends used to go out and hunt small birds with them. They were very successful at it, so I have no doubt that they can take down a rabbit. They are very lethal when used correctly. Are you interested in adding one to your hunting gear? :)

I never use a slingshot, stick with an air rifle if I'm hunting small game or varmint - much more fun in gun form lol.
