Now, Lingstone Trails, I know that the Zebra skins are a great way to make some extra cash for the whole African experience. However, just off the top of your head, how much would it cost just for a trip out there to hunt a Zebra? And then, how much would it cost to hunt all the other animals that one would try to hunt if they were to go out to Africa? I am just trying to get a gauge on it all so I can make future plans. Granted, prices will probably have changed by then, but I just want to get a rough estimate. Thanks.
Good Hunting,

Thats one thing I don't want to do...I love deer hunting, but would like to try elk, carribou, hog hunting...Not sure what else ...I haven't masterd the turkey with a bow yet...dang!!! I can call them in just like the next one, but very tricky to shoot a turkey, they seem to catch me when I draw, but I wont give up till I get one...

Lucky enough to go to Namibia twice. AMAZING! Have no interest in shooting anything that wants to feast on me, so stuck to antelope. Kudu, Gemsbok, Heartebeast, Blesbok, Impala, Springbok, warthog, Wildebeast. Most incredible experience ever. First time I ever hunted out of PA and I'm afraid nothing would top it. The guide was phenomenal.

Hi Guys,
I have recently joined the forum. I hope that I can be of assistance to you with any queries that you might have regarding hunting in Africa. I had a quick look through some of the replies and found some interesting topics.
First of all. I think the worst assumption is that hunting in Africa is going to cost you an arm and a leg. Its a lot more affordable than what you think.
You could hunt for 7 days, including 5 trophy animals for the price of an Elk.
Certainly the worst thing about hunting in Africa, is that its highly addictive and once you get back, you will start to try and figure out a way to get back.

I look forward to your questions and discussing the wonderful hobby that we all love, in hunting.

Best Regards

Africa for Cape Buffalo and Eland has been a life long desire of mine. That said, I cannot see myself doing it with a bow. I would opt instead for my .416 Rigby which I purchased about 8 years ago and it has been languishing in my safe. That said, my son served in the Marines with a guy who now lives on a large estate in Botswana and he has invited him over to hunt anytime he want's. I intend to pull rank and try and get on that little venture as it would definately cut the cost of the hunt.

Decim8r,

You want the Whitetail slam or one of the other slams?
