Arrows?

Postby Mark59 » Sun Jul 24, 2011 8:24 pm

Hey everyone, thinking of getting into the archery game, mix it up a little from hunting. Anybody got any good recs for arrows to start off with? Need good quality but also trying to save a few bucks! I was checking here, seemed like good deals:

Arrows are not a place where you want to be cheap. Buy the best arrows you can afford, and it will make your archery experience much more enjoyable.

I agree, I hope you didn't take my saying they were cheap to mean, buy a cheap arrow. I mean the price is very good compared to what I have paid. I use the XX75 gold tips and love them. The only arrow I like better is the XX78.

I agree with SD Sheetz. I started with the carbon fury arrows that are BPS brand which are 55 bones for 12. Then this year I switched to the Carbon Express Maxima Blue Streak arrows and they are noticably better. Don't skimp on arrows. Don't skimp on anything if you can help it. The better equipment you have can only help you. The rest is on you. You can only sugar coat crap for so long. So keep practicing. Good hunting

In general always aim for high-quality archery equipment. It can become an expensive hobby but well worth it in my opinion. That said, you can get a 6 pk of carbon crossbow bolts for $30.

Arrows and the quality make all the difference. Definitely do not cheat yourself on these. I have been shooting Gold Tips for a very long time and before that I was shooting Easton's. There are some really good arrow makers out there but definitely take the advice that others have given and buy a good quality arrow. Good luck.
