Check it out! I feel special!! guess there was enough of us crazy people over on small game to give us our own section!! Just got back in a little while ago. Took 2nd tonight with my OLD girl.

Never done much coon huntin, you do it at night mostly right?? Do you sell your hides? how much you get for them?

Yup, hunt em at night. I know some people have treed some in the early morning or daytime, but that's rare. Skin em out and throw em in the freezer. End of season take em to the fur buyer. Averaged about 7 or 8 dollars a piece last year. It depends on their size and condition. Some people stretch em and flesh em. You can get more for them if you do that, but I don't bother with all that myself. Might play with it a little though for something to do...

Coon hunting is a termial desease, but you will die with a big smile on your face, at a very old age. get the best dog you can find. A good light,boots, .22 cal rifle and invite the kids on some of your hunts.Have fun and be safe Cmbluetick
