Countin Down the Days to Fishin...

Postby HuntinRose89 » Fri Feb 04, 2011 11:37 am

Thanks to huntin this year, the long stretch of waitin to fish hasn't been so bad. lol. But i've noticed the only downside of movin away from Cobb Island where i could fish anywhere at anytime. Sometimes in stead of hittin the bar to watch baseball or mingle with people, i'd be down on the dock/pier, fishin til 2 in th mornin catchin Channel Cat, Moss Cat, Blue Cat, Croaker, spot and playin with the tiny crabs that played in the light when it turned on at midnight.
Gonna miss those days, being in Va Beach, means having to pay to get on the fishing pier or traveling a lil ways to somewhere to fish off the beachside, never seemed like much fun...
If anyone knows of someplace in Va Beach/Norfolk area that's good to fish and doesn't cost an arm and a leg...could you tell a fellow fisher? X)
I'm countin down the days to fish....who else?? :teeth:

lessner bridge and ruddee inlet are good spots. you do pay to park at lessner, however its like 2 or three bucks for residents.... tons of flounder during the summer and the striper where thru there this fall. and if you went to the beach side guys where catching puppy drum. over at ruddee.... you either pay to park, or if you go by the fishing center, there is a ally and its free to park there, you just have to walk under the bridge to fish, still i use to do it all the time. caught tons of spot, croakers, blues, and snags lol
