What is the ratio for dud reloaders

Postby GotHuntingGear » Mon Jan 03, 2011 11:23 pm

My brother in law does reloading and it seems like he gets a lot of duds. Is that normal or is he doing something wrong? I was curious because I was thinking about getting a reloader, but after seeing his ammo be duds sometimes I really thought twice about getting one now!

I don't know if it has to do with the ratio he is using. It might be bad powder, it might be the process he is using is wrong, there are just too many things that could be responsible. I would check with Midway USA about how to reload and see if your buddy is doing it right.

There is definately something wrong. I can understand maybe one or two duds in a huge batch, but not in the quantity you are talking about.
