Fished the famed north drop today and never saw anything. This is not uncommon during the dark side of the moon. Tomorrow we take the day off and then back at it the next day

Went back to Anagada today and the ocean was alive with bait. There were birds working schools of Bonita in two different spots on the drop. With seas at 4 to 6 feet it made for a perfect day of marlin fishing. We had a bite from a very small fish around 150 pounds but we missed him. Then as luck would have it, thunder storms moved in and we had to leave. The presence of bait was a good sign. We hope within the next couple of days they turn on. I did talk to my brother who is on a different boat in Bermuda; they caught one today between 450# and 500#. They caught one about the same size yesterday. The season is just getting started so we hope to cash on some of the great fishing down here.

WOW!!!! Another nine hours without a single bite. The water was beautiful but no fish. Tomorrow we go back to the north drop. They will turn on and when they do these posts will become much more exciting.
