3-400 yards i can do. Got 6k acres of state land behind my house!
So it would be better to hunt them on a calmer day? and yes another question! Do you ever hunt them during the day?

fox are primarily nocturnal so hunting at night will yield best results but yots you can hunt during the day with great success.

not that you can't hunt them on windy days I just prefer calmer weather that way you know your calls are traveling further.

6k acres, must be nice. Thats definitely enough room to do the trick.

I think it helps much more when hunting coyotes, if you have alot of land to work with because their home range can be larger than that of a fox.

Thanks for the tips, I really appreciate them. Like I said, last year was my first attempt and I decided to try it late in the year. Now that I have decided to do it, I have a bit more time to be ready for it!
Thanks again,
Mike
