Not really a swap ..but an offer!

Postby cut_un » Sat Jun 05, 2010 9:00 am

An offer for anyone in Va. wishing to try the sport of goose hunting....hunting them where they eat... The fields
I have all the gear needed to put the smack down on that flock of geese that you watch every morning and evening. All you need is access to those geese.
This will give you an opportinity to try the sport out, have some fun and not have all the expence of gearing up. A gun, some camo, a few shells and your hunting license are all that's needed. A great way to try something new after deer season , the season stays in east of 95 til the end of Jan. West of 95,... Til the last of Feb.. We also have a Resident Goose season ,lasting most of Sept. Let's get together! pm's are welcome!

As you know brother, lot of guys wanting to try the fowling way of life...just to see what all the to do is. Guess you also know, too be successful, it's a pretty big investment, in time and gear.many upland game hunters have assess to farms/fields holding ducks/geese but just don't have the gear or knowledge to get started. This is a good way to meet new folks, show em the ropes, introduce them to a great sport and have some fun to boot. As I see it, it's a win, win situation for all parties!!

I agree!! When I got into it, I had to shell out a good bit of cash just to have the gear... Not to mention learn to blow a call (which I still don't do well)... Plus the flip side, if you are able to hunt fields where they are feeding, makes for GREAT hunting days...

I will be keeping my eyes peeled this fall, might even take you up on this offer myself...

Steve, just flapping my gums here. I have a buddy that has access to some big fields up your way. We usually do a multi day hunt each year up there. Last year we hit Dover Del. Maybe Maryland this season.... You guys have some serious geese in your part of the world.

Been trying to find a few geese down in the southern part of our state.... find the fields ,just not a bunch of geese
