New Tree Rat Terminator...

Postby Dodgem250 » Sun Oct 25, 2009 5:39 am

Well, I bought my nephew a new Tree Rat Terminator yesterday. It's a Savage 64G Semi-auto .22 with a Bushnell 3x9 scope... Look out Tree Rats, the kid is all bidness and he's not here to make friends with you furry little puff balls.

( I guess this means good ol' Uncle D has started something, huh? )

Looks like he's ready to have some fun.

I sure would like to put a decent buck on the ground with the bow so I can then make some time to do a little squirrel huntin myself.

Yeah me too. I bought him a Mossberg 500 20Ga slug gun last year for Christmas, he shoots it all the time and is really accustomed to it now and hopefully we get to use it this year, I'm going to take him for the youth hunt this year in a few weeks and see if I can help the young fella get that feeling that the the rest of us have had, you feel that feeling once and you're hooked for life.

He has a real deal interest in hunting, he just needs the coaching and experience of someone like myself to tech him the right and wrong and hopefully I can instill the same morals and standards in him as my father did me. He has been tree ratting a few times with a borrowed 410, but, it's time now the boy learns with his own weapon. He'll be 12 in January, so, his first lesson will be the required art of "patience".
