I voted that I don't use one. I don't use one, but I would love to use one. I would love to use many. I just don't have to money to afford them. I would use any camera that allowed me to enter the deer's realm when we are all off and gone. One day I will get a camera. When I do, it will be the one that I can afford at the time.

I bought two Bushnell Trophy Cams and so far the battery life has been great.

See the problem here is that everyone uses a different brand. One person will tell you this one is good. Another person will tell you that one is good. I am kinda on a hunch here that trail cameras are like anything else is hunting. Use what you are comfortable with or with what works for you. Most of these cameras now a days are darn near the same. Except for maybe megapixel quality and such. I am just going to get whichever one is cheaper with the same sort of attributes as the more expensive ones.

biggest thing that i would do is make sure its digital and that its IR.... have seen too many deer jump when the camera or the flash goes off

Yea, I agree. I wouldn't get anything that didn't have IR. Just too good of a technology to pass up on. Why spook em, when you don't have to right?

Favorite Brand. Well I have a few cameras and like all hunting things...I have what I like while others may like something different. The compact Bushnell Trophy Cams have some great points...one is battery life. The other is they are small and lightweight. I bought my Trophy cam with the viewer from http://outdoortrailcams.com/. They have some combo kit which I got a security box, SD card and python cable for a great price. As for another really good camera, I am please with my Cuddeback. The pictures are really good with this camera. I've had it for awhile.

Voted again. Wildgame Innovations. They are a great bang for your buck item. I have the ir5d and two 1r3's. THe ir5 is awesome, and I haven't checked the pictures from the other two. But I will let you know soon. I would def recommend to someone who is tight on money like I am.

I use the wildgame innovations ir4 and ir6! The ir6 is awsome! The ir4 is good, after about a month the battery level will still be full, but only half the ir flash will work, put new batterys in it and all ir flash worked another 3 weeks went by and only half the flash!

Yea, and it all depends on how many pictures are being taken. If the camera is taking a lot of pictures, then obviously the battery is going to go quicker than normal. But it all comes down to staying on top of the cameras. I would say that during season, I check my cameras about once a week and then document all the picture dates, times, and what is in the picture in an excel spreadsheet, so I can find trends and see when is the best time to get out in the field.

If you are having a lot of battery problems, might not be a bad idea to get one of the external battery boxes so you have a lot of battery life. They aren't cheap, but they might be good if you are having that much batter trouble.

But as a whole, it seems that you like your smitty and I like mine. So there is the proof for all you other peeps on the site. I will be uploading a lot of pictures from my cameras on the weekend when I download them from the cameras. Should be interesting.
