Been shooting the recurve lately

Postby adaye » Mon Jun 15, 2009 8:25 pm

I have a personal goal for this coming season and that is to take a deer with the recurve. So I've been practicing lately and so far, I need alot of work.

Anybody else practicing with traditional equipment?

I use it for bow fishing, but thats it. Never crossed my mind to use it for big game! Good luck on your endeavor though!

That is all I shoot. Well, that and a longbow. I just got into bowfishing (went to the Skate Smashing the other week) that is a blast.

What kinda bow are you shooting and where do you shoot?
I am in Waldorf and shoot at Southern Maryland Archers a lot.

I've got a 62" Samick @ 55lbs. I'm currently looking to sell it to get a lighter poundage bow. Figured since I'm just starting I would be better off with a lighter weight.

Its addicting for sure. I hope to be grouping well enough to hunt with it this coming fall.

I basically shoot at my house. I've got a couple targets set up so it works out pretty good.
