In my opinion 17hmr works great on smaller predators. From a good rest these are 200+ yard rifles. My personal best is 170 yards on a groundhog but ive taken numerous coyotes at around 100-150 yards with it

Im really considering gettin a 17HMR for predator hunting, the .223 i have now is pretty heavy and loud it would be nice to have a lighter gun to carry around...

I'm also thinking about buying a .17 rifle. I have seen many for under 200.00. Which ones are good and which ones should I stay away from?

I just purchased a H&R Handi-Rifle in .17HMR, topped with BSA Sweet 17, 3 by12 by 40 AO scope. I have a camo dipping business and will be dipping the gun & scope in Mothwing "Desert Pattern" camo
