I first met Tom Martinak several months ago, as he was on the receving end of a classified sale of mine. Shortly after meeting Tom, I found out that he is a small business owner. Tom is the owner and founder of Chain Reaction Game Calls located in Southern Maryland. Chain Reaction Game Calls custom turns and fabricates pot calls and designs mouth calls. Each custom call is turned by hand, by Tom himself. Chain Reaction Game Calls has been producing high quality calls for 6 years now. Currently, Tom is manufacturing custom pot calls and strikers, tube calls and diaphgram calls with a variety of rare and exotic woods to choose from. Pictured below is a flame box elder slate call stabilized with resin.

Being an avid turkey hunter, I was very interested in obtaining one of his calls to use for the 2015 Spring Turkey season here in Maryland. After a few phone calls back and forth, I was delighted to find a custom purpleheart slate pot call and striker in my mailbox just days before the season. After using the call, instantly I could tell the amount of quality and worksmanship Tom had put forth in designing and turning this call. This call performed well all across the sound spectrum, from very robust yelps and clucks to the most timid feeding purrs and whines. I was impressed to say the least.

I spent a few days getting comfortable with the calls ability and range before heading out opening day. It wouldn't take long for the slate call to prove itself to me, when I was able to lay the hammer down on a mature eastern turkey that same morning.

To everyone out there that is either an amatuer or hardened turkey hunter, I highly recommend you add a Chain Reaction Game Call to your turkey vest. You will not reget it! Specializing in Custom, Hanmade Turkey pot calls, Turkey tube calls and Strikers. More info and products found here:
