Trophy MagWhile attending the Eastern Outdoors Show this past weekend, I came across an interesting new concept which I thought will be a great way to further promote hunting and the “be proud of who you are” mentality that I think we all need to adopt.

Trophy Magnet is the latest idea from a group of guys out of Pennsylvania. This magnet signifies a lot once decoded and is a great way to show fellow sportsman that you are a hunter and proud of it. Not sure who is watching “The Bone Collector” right now, but Waddell, Nick Mundt and T-Bone are doing a great job of promoting the sport and also being proud of who they are and what they do. The Trophy Magnet is a great way for us as hunters to help spread that mindset as well.

The Trophy Magnet has a “Sportsman's Code” built into it, and tells your hunting story as well as acts as an indicator by communicating success to fellow hunters; all on a simple yet effective magnet.

The magnet design includes a letter, which indicates which weapon you were successful with; A for Archery, M for Muzzleloader, and F for Firearm. Next piece is a silhouette of the big game animal you were successful harvesting; there is a long list of these, including Whitetail Deer, Elk, Mule Deer, etc. The final piece to the “Sportsman's Code” is the year, which signals to fellow sportsman which year you were successful…

I know sounds like it could get expensive for some of you who are successful every year with every weapon, but at $7.95 each it won't break the bank. I have mine coming and will be proudly displaying on my truck as soon as it arrives… I think this is a great way to show your support for hunting, and be proud of who you are, A Hunter…
